I disagree. FPS games with cover systems like Vegas 2 are completely different to straight FPS games like MW2, and RPG inspired FPS games like Bioshock / Deus Ex are completely different to either of the above. If by FPS you mean "point and shoot until dead", then yes, there are a tonne of those about.
