You also need more gigafloppies so your turbohertz aren't bottlenecked.
Who cares about practical application when something looks that awesome!

The key is reverse virtual economy. trade your fake assets for real perks. "I have three properties and $200 left. first person to go make me a gin and tonic gets the rest of it."?
Clear, so you actually see the wall behind your monitor? |

Probably, because for them that would mean not paying their taxes. With our proposed system you pay the insurance directly rather than through the government. Really not having insurance is stupid anyway(even if you are young and perfectly healthy) unless you are independently wealthy and can self insure.

Well, you pretty much said it, didn't you? This makes perfect sense.High prices aren't necessarily in their favor.Remember what happened in 2007 when gas hit $4.00 a gallon? People drove less, a LOT less. Demand adjusted, and people started asking a lot more questions about alternative energy. That kind of thing is certainly not in the interest of these companies. If people know the oil is running out and start pushing harder for alternatives then the long-term prospects of oil companies are grim.If gas hit something like $10 per gallon here in the US, we'd all be driving electric cars charged by a solar power grid within a decade virtually without question. That's a lot sooner than the oil is going to run out entirely, so it makes sense to inflate the reserve numbers and keep people complacent for as long as possible, It's not as if they won't be about to gouge the ***** out of the prices when the wells actually start drying up anyway. At that point, they'd like to catch us off guard and bleed us dry selling us the very last of the oil while we desperately scrape together last minute alternatives. That won't happen if we all see the writing on the wall and move away from oil at an appropriate pace. |
