I've been saying this for years. If you ignore partisanship for a minute, consider this: in a two party system, the party in power *always* needs and effective opposition for it to function. Without a good opposition, the corrupting influences run wild. And that's what's happening now. I don't think its the firmware that is the issue, its the hardware itself in the current players. In order to make a copy the drive in the player would need to be able to rip or burn it I would assume. I suppose since the newest players are able to be networked it may be able to allow you to back up a file on a computer somewhere, but I would really think that if this is being endorsed by the MPAA its going to probably only allow a single copy to be made directly to a disc. I doubt they want to make it too easy for people to just rip and distribute copies of movies using thier home media player.

Meh. Poor compositing skills and mediocre acting. I didn't really find it that humorous either (a combination of the writing and delivery). A for effort though, because I know the trials and tribulations of doing anything "indie" and always admire the effort regardless.
