America is secured by ensuring it has a structured ally/influence in a region with nuclear bombs and Taliban.Nonetheless, America has an underlying responsibility to the future of Afghanistan. A.) Afghanistan was influential to the Cold War (Charlie Wilson and the Stinger missile). B.) We invaded, we must take responsibility. Hence our occupation in Iraq. Regardless of what many Americans believe, our nation must understand it's responsibility and future effects of our actions. The way we see Russia invading Georgia is the way other nations may view America in the middle east: domineering, irrelevant, and intimidating.Should we care what other countries think of America? To a degree.Should we worry over whether Afghan should be secured before we leave? To a degree.Should we believe Afghans security influences the possibility of nuclear bombs falling into the hands of terrorist -even if a country away? Yes.We are sending more troops to stabilize; we are stabilizing the country, and America's placement in the world. We cannot abandon responsibility.

Radeon's drivers have been pretty good through the 48xx and 58xx. I was the same as you, had a 8800GS and upgraded to a 4870 a year and a half ago. It's been fine, no driver issues.Having said that, the new nVidia GT300 cards are rumoured to be out this year, so it might be worth holding out a couple of months. |
